About us

Electricians Nottingham is a trading name of Urgent Electrical Services Ltd, trading since 2014.

Most of our work is for landlords, letting agents, businesses and facilities managers who need inspections done properly, reported clearly and repeated on time. We built this site so you can book online, see exactly what's included, and keep every report and certificate in one place.

How we work

• We explain scope and limitations before we start, and write them on the report.
• We separate the inspection from any remedial work, and quote remedials item by item.
• We distinguish what the law requires from what's good practice.
• Reports and certificates are reviewed and approved by an authorised person before they're released.
• We only offer specialist services we're competent, equipped and insured to deliver.

Where we work

We're based in central Nottingham and work across the city and the surrounding area. Travel is free within 20 miles of our base; further away, any travel charge is shown before you book. See areas we cover for the towns and councils we work with.

Keeping our guidance accurate

Electrical safety rules change: BS 7671 Amendment 4 took effect in October 2026, and the landlord regulations were extended to social housing in 2025. Every guide on this site lists its sources and the date we last checked them, labels what's law and what's good practice, and says which country it applies to. What we don't do

We don't install or test solar PV or battery storage systems, and we don't take on work we aren't competent and insured to carry out. If you need something we don't offer, we'll tell you rather than book it.
