After an unsatisfactory report
A report is unsatisfactory when it has at least one C1 (danger present) or C2 (potentially dangerous) observation. Landlords in England must have the remedial work, and any further investigation the report requires, done within 28 days or sooner if the report says.
You can use any qualified electrician for the work. Once it's done you need written confirmation, usually an Electrical Installation Certificate or Minor Works Certificate, which landlords send with the report to tenants within 28 days.
