Travel within our standard radius of central Nottingham is free. If a charge applies to your postcode, it's shown as its own line before you confirm.
Can I pay a deposit?
For many services you can pay a deposit now and the balance after the job. The deposit is its own invoice, and the balance is invoiced separately.
Can businesses pay on invoice?
Yes, once your account is approved for invoice terms. Ask us after your first booking or when requesting a contract.
Inspections
What's the difference between an EICR and a certificate?
An EICR reports on the condition of an existing installation. An Electrical Installation Certificate or Minor Works Certificate confirms that new work was installed and tested correctly.
Is an EICR a guarantee the electrics are safe?
No. It reports the condition found at the time of inspection, within the agreed extent and limitations. Things can change afterwards through damage, wear or alterations.
Is remedial work included in the inspection price?
No. Any remedial work is quoted separately once we know what's needed, so you only pay for what the installation actually requires.
Will the power be off?
Yes, for parts of the visit. We'll tell you beforehand and work with you to minimise disruption, including out-of-hours visits for businesses.
Landlords
How often do landlords need an EICR?
At least every five years for most private tenancies in England, or sooner if the previous report recommends it.
Do landlords legally need PAT testing?
There isn't a specific legal requirement to PAT test, but appliances you supply must be safe. Testing is the usual way to show this, and some HMO licences require it.
