This notice explains how Urgent Electrical Services Ltd, trading as Electricians Nottingham ("we"), uses personal information. We are the data controller.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email, phone, billing and property addresses.
- Booking information: services, property details, access arrangements and notes.
- Documents: reports, certificates and files uploaded to your account.
- Payment records. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Technical data: essential cookies for logging in and keeping your booking; analytics only if you consent.
Why we use it
- To provide the services you book (contract).
- To meet legal obligations such as accounting and safety records (legal obligation).
- To send service reminders you've asked for and to run our business efficiently (legitimate interests). You can opt out at any time.
- Marketing only with your consent.
Who we share it with
Our engineers; service providers who host our systems, send email and SMS, and process payments; tenants, landlords or agents you authorise; and authorities where the law requires.
How long we keep it
Electrical reports and certificates are kept for at least the life of the inspection cycle plus six years. Financial records for six years. Account data while your account is open and for a reasonable period after.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it. Contact us at the details on our contact page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
